Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday asked people in Kashmir Valley to vote against dynastic political parties in the Lok Sabha elections.
While addressing a rally at Paloura, on the outskirts of Jammu city, Amit Shah did not mention the name of any political party but he cautioned the people of Kashmir against dynastic parties like Congress, National Conference, and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Interestingly, the Union Home Minister has not asked voters of Kashmir Valley to vote for the BJP but he only appealed voters to the Kashmir to give a befitting reply to parties like the PDP, NC, and the Congress.
Amit Shah’s statement is very significant because the BJP has yet not announce candidates for three Lok Sabha seats of Kashmir Valley.
“Opposition propagates that BJP wants to seize control of the Valley”, Shah said but hastened to clarify that BJP was not interested in taking over but in winning hearts.
Shah emphasized that the BJP is in no hurry; when they receive love from the Valley, the lotus will bloom there as well.

Shah appealed to the voters of the valley, urging them to vote for anyone but not for these three family-centric parties. Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, and Sonia Gandhi only work for their families and not for the people.
- Narendra Modi Govt has fulfilled Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s slogan of ‘Ek Vidhaan, Ek Nishaan, Ek Pradhan’.
- Terrorism is on its last legs following the abrogation of Article 370
- We are not invaders. When we receive the affection of the Valley’s people, then the lotus will flourish.
- Congress and PDP kept Jammu and Kashmir away from democracy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi connected it to democracy by conducting Panchayat elections.
- Today, Jammu and Kashmir echoes with the chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” not the slogans of Pakistan.
- Border villages will be developed and flourished like Jammu in Modi government 3.0.
- Modi government did justice to everyone by giving reservation to the underprivileged without reducing the reservation of Gujjars.
Shah stated that the PDP, Congress, and NC had hindered democracy, being the “three family alliances” who monopolized representation and prevented panchayat elections.
Shah remarked that these parties had disrespected the Dogra and Dogri community by never honoring Maharaja Hari Singh.

“BJP declared a holiday on his birth anniversary and showed respect. During the time of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh, there was a prolonged struggle for the Dogri language. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee included Dogri in the Eighth Schedule, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi declared Dogri as an official language, thereby honoring the Dogra community. The BJP has brought about many changes in Jammu and Kashmir”, he said.
Examples of these changes include the abolition of the Lakhanpur toll tax, providing 33% reservation for women, and fulfilling the long-standing demand for reservation for the Pahadi community. Additionally, the people here have been granted rights to education, forest rights, and protection under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act, the Whistleblowers Protection Act, and the Minority Commission.
Union Home Minister stated that regarding the exploitation of youth in the name of protecting the Valley, Shah pointed out that the highest number of fake encounters occurred during Farooq Abdullah and PDP’s tenure, where bullets were fired at Kashmiri children and guns were placed in their hands.
“These deeds were perpetrated by these three parties: Congress, PDP, and NC. Shri Narendra Modi stopped these encounters and worked towards eradicating terrorism and engaging the youth in productive activities”, he said.
Shah emphasized that Narendra Modi has brought global recognition to Kashmiri products like Pashmina, apples, and handicrafts through initiatives like Geo-tagging, thereby providing employment to youth and women.
Addressing the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Shah stated that Modi has established peace and paved the way for development in the region. For seventy years, Jammu and Kashmir lagged, plagued by protests and terrorism, hindering progress. “PM Modi ended strikes, quelled violence, eradicated terrorism, and initiated the journey towards development”, he said.
