The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha continued its tradition of recognizing and rewarding meritorious students from the community by hosting a felicitation ceremony on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja Divas. The event took place at the Sabha headquarters in Gurha Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, and was attended by a large gathering of students, parents, and dignitaries.
Awards and Recognition
Over 90 students who excelled in various fields, including academics, sports, and extracurricular activities, were honored with mementos and appreciation letters. The awardees included:
– Manik Verma, selected as a lieutenant in the Indian army
– Vanshika Dhiman, bronze medalist in Wushu at the national level
– Sanchit Verma, who scored 98% in class 10th
– Lovish Verma, a kickboxing champion
– Narvi Jakhotra, who achieved A1 grade in class 10th CBSE
– Sandeep Rattan Verma, who stood second in a short film competition
– Kanak Chargotra, who scored 94% in 10th class
– Mishtha Salaria, who scored 93% in 10th class

The event was chaired by R.L. Chargotra, with Palesh Bhai from Gujarat as the chief guest. Other prominent guests included Y P.Boureney, Ajay Engotra, Rohit Gandhi, Inspector Police, and Vandana Sagar Chargotra, President of the Mahila Wing.
Addressing the Gathering
In his address, Chief Guest Palesh Bhai praised the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha for organizing such events to boost the morale of students and achievers. Shashi Verma, President of the Sabha, welcomed the participants and highlighted the significance of Vishwakarma Puja Divas, which celebrates the creator of the universe, Lord Vishwakarma.
Demand for Gazette Holiday
Shashi Verma also raised the demand for a gazette holiday on the eve of Vishwakarma day, which is celebrated the day after Diwali across the world.

The event was organized by Rakesh Chalotra, President of Shakti Nagar Sabha, and his team, along with Darshan Singh and his team from the Parchar Committee.
